As part of the “Live Better! Live Longer! Start Strong” breastfeeding initiative, an Ameda hospital-grade double breast pump was purchased with matching funds from the hospital auxiliary. Funds were provided by a Catholic Health Initiatives Mission and Ministry Fund grant award to the Healthy Communities Collaborative, to be distributed over a period of three years. Part of the project’s focus is to increase the number of work sites which are committed to supporting their breastfeeding employees.
