Girls Basketball: Royalton dominates St. John’s Prep from start

Royalton controlled the game from wire-to-wire, taking down host St. John’s Prep 52-29, Tuesday.

Sophomore Haley Olson led the Royals with 13 points, six rebounds and five steals, while seniors Kandy Meyer and Kalee Petron each scored nine points and teamed up to pull down 12 rebounds.

Senior Hannah Fussy recorded eight points and nine rebounds, with juniors Emily Fussy (6), Jacquline Nichols (5) and Alexis Martinez (2) also scoring.

“We really followed the game plan tonight and things came together,” Royalton head coach Jeff Schoenrock said. “We played very good defense and used patience on offense to get good looks and we capitalized on them.”
