Man arrested in Morrison County sent back to South Dakota

On Jan. 15, Joseph Dean King was arrested in Morrison County based on an arrest warrant issued from the state of South Dakota.

The warrant was issued Nov. 13, 2012, by a judge in Minnehaha County, for violating sex offender registration requirements.

When King was transported to the Morrison County Jail, he allegedly acknowledged his name and date of birth and that it matched the information on the felony warrant from the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Department. King declined, however to give a statement, preferring to talk in a South Dakota court.
