Little Falls vocational agriculture teacher Doug Ploof looks over a schefflera plant damaged during the cold snap Minnesota experienced earlier in January. The greenhouse at the Little Falls Community High School is more than 40 years old, is highly inefficient and was unable to prevent the damage. The district is fundraising to purchase a larger, more efficient greenhouse that will not only be used by classes, but will house the seedlings grown for the expanded “Farm to School” program at the St. Francis Community Gardens.
