Kenneth Bollig, 75
Kenneth Bollig, a resident of Cushing, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Paynesville Area Health Care System in Paynesville.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service, with the Chaplain Gregg Valentine officiating. Burial was in the Cushing Union Cemetery in Cushing.
Kenneth John Bollig was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Belle Prairie Township, Morrison County, the son of Anton and Gladys (Noggle) Bollig. He grew up in Belle Prairie Township and attended country school. He was united in marriage to Helen Thorson Feb. 1, 1958, on Helen’s home place near Camp Ripley. The couple lived on their farm near Cushing where they raised their family. Kenneth was employed as a heavy equipment operator at Camp Ripley for more than 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, riding his four-wheeler, driving heavy equipment and farming. He was a member of the Cushing Community Club. He loved and spoiled his six grandchildren.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Helen of Cushing; children, Kenneth (Booty) Bollig, Cindy (Leon) Brownell, Judy (Herb) Schroeder and Scott (Brenda) Bollig; grandchildren, Leon “Dewey Boy” Brownell, Kayla “Lee” Brownell, Tiffany “Ann” Schroeder, Kaitlynn “Kaitzie Baby” Bollig, Derek “Buddy Boy” Bollig and Herb “Little Herbert” Schroeder; siblings, Shirley Kedrowski, Ivan Bollig, Nancy Post, Betty Kedrowski, Jeanette Kedrowski, Mary Lou Post, Anton Bollig Jr., Marvin Bolligand Irene Post, and many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Gladys (Noggle) Bollig and a brother, LeRoy Bollig.
