Betty E. Niemann, a resident of Coon Rapids, formerly of Little Falls, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, at the St. Anthony Nursing Home in Minneapolis.
A memorial service was held Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, with the Rev. Gary Hendrickson officiating. Burial was at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls at a later date.
Betty E. Niemann was born June 13, 1924, in St. Charles, Mo., to Edward and Bessie Mae Williams. She graduated in Seattle, Wash. in 1943, and worked for Westinghouse during World War II. In 1948, she married Kenneth Niemann of Little Falls, who preceded her in death in 1995. She was active in her church sewing guild and in the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
Betty is survived by her three daughters, Sue Sterling of Brainerd, Vicki (David) Scheele of Becker and Nancy (Dwight) Buffum of New Brighton; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
