The Pierz Empty Bowls soup supper benefit will be held Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the Healy High School cafeteria. Serving runs from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Healy High School Art Club members created the handcrafted bowls that the soup will be served in. Those who attend will be able to enjoy the meal of soup, bread and a beverage, and keep their bowl. The bowls are called “Benefactor Bowls,” as a reminder that someone else’s bowl is always empty.
Empty Bowls is a special community project and event to build awareness and develop support for fighting hunger in the community. All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Lutheran Social Services youth programs and Place of Hope Ministries.
