Pierz police asks for public’s help in identifying suspect

The Pierz Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the male pictured above, who is suspected of cashing stolen checks at an area bank. Police have determined that the unidentified man cashed two checks, stolen from a mailbox in Agram Township.

The Department reminds business owners not to cash checks without seeing a valid identification and recording that information on the back of the check. Anyone who is suspicious of a person who is cashing a check, is asked to take note of the person’s physical appearance, what clothes they are wearing, what type of vehicle they are driving and what direction they go when leaving the establishment.

Those who may have information on the man’s identity, are asked to contact Pierz Police Chief Eric Hanneken at (320) 468-0299.
