Agnes Wuebkers, 74
Agnes Bernadine Wuebkers, a resident of Upsala, died unexpectedly at her home Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Agnes was held Saturday, March 9, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in St. Francis, with Father John Odero officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery following the service.
Agnes was born Aug. 30, 1938, in Melrose to Leo and Monica (Herzog) Hinnenkamp. She married Jerome Wuebkers July 10, 1962, in Melrose. After their marriage, the couple moved to a farm near St. Francis where she worked as a mother and homemaker until eventually retiring to Upsala in 2000. Agnes had many things she enjoyed in life. She was most proud of her beautiful gardens. She was a very active member of the St. Francis Sewing Circle, the Christian Mothers and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she was also active in the choir and assisted with religious education. Because of her love of flowers and gardening, she was a member of the Stearns County Master Gardeners.
Agnes is survived by her loving children, Charlene (Frank) Hohmann, Royalton; Kevin (Janice) Wuebkers, St. Francis; seven grandchildren; and siblings Ralph (Doris) Hinnenkamp, Melrose; and Dorine (Greg) Nowak, Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Monica Hinnenkamp; and her husband, Jerome Wuebkers, who passed in January 2008.
