Saturday, March 16, the Walmart Superstore in Little Falls hurried its customers and associates out about 2 p.m., due to maintenance issues having to do with snow on the roof. “It was just a safety precaution, nothing happened and nobody got hurt,” said shift manager Jackie Jakel. “We didn’t want customers to get hurt and no associates were hurt.” A crane was brought in to access the roof to remove snow. “Nothing collapsed,” said Jackel. “They were just precautionary measures.” She said Walmart contacted St. Gabriel’s Hospital to let them know that no prescriptions would be filled. The store reopened about 8 p.m. that evening.
