Pierz asks County Board to hold off on Freedom Fest application

The Pierz Commercial Club has asked that the County Board hold off on reviewing its application for Freedom Fest, set for July 6. The item has been taken off the Board’s Tuesday, March 26 agenda.

Pierz Police Chief Eric Hanneken said the group wanted to meet with the Minnesota State Patrol to find out what type of signage was needed on Highway 25.

“We just want to make sure all our ducks are in a row with the state,” said Hanneken. A meeting with the Minnesota State Patrol will be held this week, he said.
