For those whose goal is to reduce stress, get fit and meet new people, “Running 101” may fit the bill. This class will take participants through the beginning stages of fitness by walking and jogging.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to complete a 5K (3.1 mile). This is a class for beginners and intermediate runners – not an advanced class. Participants should be able to walk 25-30 minutes comfortably before the class begins. The cost includes 13 classes, runner’s guide, training schedule and T-shirt. The class, led by instructor Jackie Devine, will be held April 1, 8, 17, 23 and 29; May 8, 13, 20, 27 and 29 and June 3, 5 and 12, from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
