Randall woman one of two arrested for possession and sale of meth

Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division (LADID) agents and drug agents from North Central Drug Task Force arrested a 23-year-old Randall woman and a 41-year-old Brainerd man, after finding 15 ounces of methamphetamine in a rural Brainerd home.

The drugs were found when agents executed a search warrant at the residence. Along with the 15 ounces of methamphetamine, agents also found $4,500 in cash.

“This arrest is a significant for this area. The meth we located has a street value of between $40,000-$50,000. It also shows the overwhelming presence of meth in this community,” said Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl.

Taken into custody was Kayla Renae Mercado and Timothy George Clark. Both have been charged with first degree possession of methamphetamine and first degree sale of methamphetamine.

LADID was assisted by members of the Crow Wing County Tactical Team, Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Department and North Central Drug Task Force.
