Wayne J. Waytashek, 52

obit-Waytashek-WWayne J. Waytashek, a resident of Cambridge, formerly of Pierz, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at his home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, at the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz with Father Kenneth Popp officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Pierz American Legion Post #341.
Wayne Jerome Waytashek was born Jan, 21, 1961, in Little Falls, to Jerome and Valeria Waytashek. He grew up and attended school in Pierz. At the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He resided in Royalton and married Sharon Prokott, later divorced, and then resided in Cambridge with significant other Marty Berg until his death. Wayne was a hard-worker who had various jobs from construction/concrete to truck driving. Wayne enjoyed nature, fishing on the river, camping, four-wheeling, drawing, traveling and paintball. He loved driving his ‘74 Ford truck, his Harley Davidson, and being in the sky in his ultra-light. Wayne always had a creative mind when doing projects at his farm and a special interest in antiques. Anyone who knew Wayne, knew he had a mischievous laugh and smile. Wayne was a part of many lives and enjoyed life.
Wayne is survived by daughters, Britney Waytashek and expectant baby boy of Royalton and Crystal Wimmer of Little Falls, and her children, Zander, Skyler and Alexia; son, Tyler Waytashek of Sartell; significant other, Marty Berg of Cambridge and her sons, Russell, Dustin, Ben and Levi Berg and children all of Ogilvie; brothers, Roger (Fran) Waytashek of Crosby and Paul (Connie) Waytashek of Little Falls; sisters, Bonnie Holtslander and significant other Bruce of Duluth,  Diane Barber of Onamia,  Debbie (Matt) Zipf of Plymouth and Mary Jo (John) Poster of Pierz; and many nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Cody Waytashek; parents, Jerome and Valeria; sisters, Laurie Waytashek, Sylvia Patterson and Gloria Woitalla.
