Curtiss Donald Kretsch, 54, Little Falls, was charged April 17, with one felony fifth degree possession of a controlled substance by Morrison County Attorney Brian Middendorf and his staff.
On March 12, a Little Falls police officer stopped a suspect for speeding. He was identified as Kretsch.
As Kretsch was removing his identification from his wallet, the officer observed a white substance in a baggie. He told Kretsch to hand the baggie to him.
Kretsch allegedly told the officer the baggie contained pain pills. The officer also found another baggie containing 10 more of the same pills in Kretsch’s pocket, later identified as Acetaminophen/hydrocodone bitartrate, along with a Vicodin pill.
Kretsch allegedly told the officer he did not have a prescription for any of the pills, which were schedule III controlled substances that cannot be possessed without a valid prescription.
If convicted, Kretsch faces a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and/or a $10,000 fine.
