Francis Ferche, 90

obit-Francis-FercheFrancis C. Ferche, a resident of Sartell, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 26, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, in Sartell, with the Rev. Timothy Baltes officiating. Burial will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls.
Francis Cyril Ferche was born May 21, 1922, in St. Cloud to Cyril and Mary (Bernick) Ferche. He served his country in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a fighter pilot providing fighter escorts for B17 bombers. Frank married Jeanette Fedor, Sept. 14, 1949, in Flensburg. He owned and operated Frank Ferche Cabinets. Frank was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Bishop Trobec Council, Sartell American Legion Post #277 and St. Cloud East Side VFW Post #4847. He enjoyed restoring antiques, collecting rocks, coins and stamps, and going to auctions and garage sales. Frank had a great sense of humor, and was caring, generous, patient and had great faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette of Sartell; sons and daughter, Glenn (Loretta) Ferche of Renville, Diane (Robert) McGonagle of Rice, Alan (Valerie) Ferche of Rice, Joel (Julie) Ferche of St. Cloud and Bruce (Nancy) Ferche of Savage; sisters and brothers, Rosemary Dooley of Annandale, Va., Mary Luedemann of St. Michael, John Ferche of Rice, Ben Ferche of St. Stephen, Robert Ferche of St. Stephen and Dennis Ferche of Afton; 10 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Julie Wollak.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
