Little Falls gave Becker a rude greeting to the Granite Ridge Conference, roughing up the Bulldogs 7-1 and 5-0 in a road doubleheader, Monday.

Senior Collin Eckman reached base in all four of his plate appearances, tripling and scoring three runs for the Flyers, while senior Nathan Masog went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Senior Josh Wenzel returned to the field after missing all of last season due to injury, going 1-for-4 with a run and a stolen base.

Senior Gabe Ploof kept the Becker lineup off-balance, holding the Bulldogs to three hits over six innings, striking out six to notch his first win.

Wenzel received the pitching assignment in the finale, firing a three-hit shutout while helping his own cause with two hits and two runs at the plate.

Senior Matt Stumpf also collected a pair of hits, with Eckman, senior Nate Backowski and juniors Dane Peterson and Michael Fregin each knocking in a run.

Little Falls hosts a doubleheader against Princeton, Thursday.
