Track and Field: Koetter, Hanson, Peterson and McCoy win events for Upsala-Swanville

Stephanie Koetter and Emma Guthrie tied for first in the high jump (4-feet, 10-inches) and Makenna Peterson leapt to first in the long jump (15-feet, 5-inches) to lead the Upsala-Swanville Area girls at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, Tuesday, while Ethan McCoy won the 200 (25.94) to pace the Patriots boys.

Producing runner-up finishes for the USA girls were Peterson in the 400 (1:05.96), Hannah Mettler in the 800 (3:01.72) and the 4×200 relay team of Amanda Rieffer, Danica Cheney, Danica Hanson and Peterson (2:00.26).

Taking second for the USA boys were Joe Jensen in the long jump (16-feet, 5.5-inches), the 4×100 relay team of Garrett Karnes, Matt Koetter, Jensen and McCoy (50.85) and the 4×200 relay team of Jacob Opelia, Matthew Laliberte, Justin Schneider and Paul Fruechte (1:46.77).
