Eckman, Hendrickson and Jenks named LF Athletes of the Year

Three-sport standouts (from left): Jamie Jenks, Collin Eckman and Mattia Hendrickson were named Little Falls Athletes of the Year at Monday’s annual activities banquet.

Little Falls Community High School held its annual activities banquet Monday, with Collin Eckman, Mattia Hendrickson and Jamie Jenks selected as the Athletes of the Year.

Among the award winners were Jake Loukinen and Laura Moe (ExCel); Ashley Klein (Flyer Swimming Memorial); Hendrickson and Travis Spillum (Triple A); Isaiah Korver and Diana Kempenich (Vern Zehren); Emily Stark and Spillum (Army Reserve Scholar-Athlete); Chantelle Anderson (John Philip Sousa); Samantha Gottwalt (Louis Armstrong Jazz); Aaron Nilsen (Marine Corps Semper Fidelis Musical Excellence); Brennan Norwood and Lexi Zawatzke (National School Choral); Amy Maslowski (Fred Waring Directors); Alexis Roy (Fine Arts Student of the Year); and Chelsea Rutz and Austin Bjorge (Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete).

The Pine Country Bank three-sport athletes included Bjorge, Tyler Claseman, Eckman, Spencer Fenske, Collin Gradin, Hendrickson, Jenks, Korver, Jordan Petrone, Rutz, Spillum, Stark, Katie Stewart and Josh Wenzel.

Eckman received the Wetzel Family Male Athlete of the Year Award, and Hendrickson and Jenks received the Lyn Halstead Female Athlete of the Year Award.
