Central Minnesota Conference Girls Golf: Pierz’ Hawks finishes one stroke back at Maple Lake

Pierz sophomore Jessica Hawks tied for second place with a round of 42 to finish one stroke behind the medalist at Tuesday’s Maple Lake Central Minnesota Conference (CMC) meet.

Senior Katie Kowalzek was the next leading scorer for the Pioneers with a 58, while sophomore Miranda Robertsdahl carded a 60.

Pierz edges past HLWW, Rockets at home meet

Pierz clipped Rockford Area and Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (HLWW) by one stroke apiece to earn fifth place at its home CMC meet, Monday.

Hawks (47) and Kowalzek (49) each broke 50 for the Pioneers on the afternoon.

Pierz earns sixth at Kimball

Hawks once again posted the top score for Pierz at the Kimball Area CMC meet, May 10, shooting a 47 to lead the Pioneers to sixth place.

Kowalzek (53), sophomore Sam Smith (62) and Robertsdahl (63) rounded out the scoring for Pierz, with eighth-grader Brittany Talberg shooting a 66 and junior Grace Duxbury posting a 68.
