Little Falls wrapped up Granite Ridge Conference (GRC) play with an offense-filled doubleheader at Foley, Thursday, winning the first game 14-7 before falling 8-5 in the finale.
Little Falls rocked the Falcons for five runs in the first and seven more in the second in the opener, sending 21 batters to the plate in the two frames en route to the win.
Six Flyers put together multi-hit games, including senior Chantelle Anderson, sophomore Kendra Pohlman, seniors Emily Suska and Jamie Jenks and juniors Tristen Zimmerman and Korlyna Keehr.
Junior Alea Cekalla added a double, two runs and three RBIs and earned the win pitching.
Despite a late rally, an early 6-0 deficit proved too much to overcome for Little Falls in game two.
Trailing 8-2 going into the bottom of the seventh, Cekalla hit a bases-clearing double to cut Foley’s lead in half, but the game ended with the tying run left at the plate.
Cekalla finished the game 3-for-4 with five RBIs and sophomore Mikayla Gottwalt and junior Sierra Virnig each had a hit and scored twice.
