Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, at the Randall Presbyterian Church in Randall with the Rev. Robert Bellin officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Motley, at a later date. Dorothy was born Sept. 11, 1912, in Browerville. She grew up in the Swanville-Little Falls area. Dorothy was born to Matthew and Christina Kasper as one of 16 children and continued her love of family by marrying Gerald M. Trout and having seven children of her own, Joan Manning (Gene), LaRee Brandt (Lavern), Neil Trout (Belma), Phil Trout (Sheila), Linda Childress (Tom), Leon Trout (Kay), and Duane Trout (Alison). In 1964, Dorothy married Harley White and moved to Randall. An avid card player, Dorothy participated in the Scandia Valley Card Club, loved sewing and enjoyed gardening. An excellent cook, she excelled at making pies and cinnamon rolls. For many years, camping was a favorite pastime.
Dorothy is survived by six children; 24 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by husbands, Gerald Trout and Harley White; and daughter, LaRee Brandt.
