EEI will not merge with WACOSA

The Board of Little Falls’ Employment Enterprises Inc. (EEI) voted 6-2 against a possible merger with WACOSA, a non-profit started in 1963 in Waite Park (WA), Cold Spring (CO) and Sauk Centre (SA) to provide employment for disabled adults.

Due to the retirement of Executive Director Byron Quinn effective July 1, EEI was investigating that option for the future.

“Byron has done an exceptional job spanning 35  years,” said EEI Board Chair Gerry Palo. “But the Board wants to retain local control. We are very fortunate in having fantastic employee loyalty, and we heard from many people in the community who support EEI.”

The EEI Board is now exploring a variety of options.

“The future is exciting as we are in the process of forming a strategic plan and have formed a search committee to look for a new executive director,” said Palo.
