She was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Winchester, Va., to P. Albert and Irene Clark. She graduated from John Hanley High School and went to work for the Shenandoah Valley National Bank as a bookkeeper. On April 7, 1956, she married DeWayne Hamlin and moved to North St. Paul. She spent a majority of her life raising her family in LeSueur. After she retired from Weight Watchers as a lecturer/leader she and DeWayne moved to Mission, Texas. She enjoyed doing crafts and playing cards/games but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 57 years; two sons, Bradley (Cathy) of Little Falls and Bill (Lori) of Deerwood; three daughters, Denise (Ali) Ghomshei of Phoenix, Ariz., Julie Saatzer of LeSueur, Andrea (John) O’Neill of Apple Valley; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff of CIMA Hospice for their compassion and guidance in helping Virginia and her family during her final days.
