Collin Strempke, a resident of Little Falls, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls, with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Little Falls. Friends may call from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls. Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
Collin was born July 20, 1999, in Brainerd, to Anthony and Cindy (Wiersgalla) Strempke. He grew up in Little Falls where he attended school at Lindbergh Elementary and was currently a seventh grader at the Little Falls Community Middle School. Collin participated in football and baseball in school. He lived to play sports and when he was not playing sports he was watching them on TV. Collin was a devoted Minnesota Vikings fan, he believed in them when nobody else did. Some of his other hobbies were hunting, fishing, playing Xbox and playing with the two family dogs, Spike and Bear. Collin was growing up to be a wonderful young man who was always willing to help and took great pride in his school work by earning excellent grades. He was dearly loved by so many and he will be greatly missed.
Collin is survived by parents, Anthony and Cindy Strempke of Little Falls; brother, Spencer Strempke of Little Falls; sister, Kirsten Strempke of Little Falls, Jordan Strempke of International Falls and Natasha Nodes of International Falls; grandparents, Dwight and Celeste Wiersgalla of Little Falls and Merlin and Sandy Strempke of Little Falls; nephew, Riley Nodes of International Falls; great-grandparents, Alvin and Rose Janorschke of Buckman and Margaret Senlycki of Little Falls.
He was preceded in death by big brother, Mitchell Strempke; cousins, Skylar Zalasin, Sheldon and Amber Novak; and great-aunt, Brenda Strempke.
