The Heartland Symphony Orchestra (HSO) will hold its annual membership meeting Monday, June 17, at 6 p.m. at Perkins Restaurant, located on 16th Street Northeast in Little Falls. All HSO members and anyone interested in becoming a member are invited to attend.
To qualify as a member of the HSO, one must make at least a $10 annual donation or volunteer significant time serving the orchestra. Orchestra players are considered volunteers and thus members. The annual meeting agenda will include election of new board members, a brief financial report, plans for next season and an open forum for those present to ask questions.
All regular meetings are attended by the full board, the orchestra manager and the business manager. Other members present may stay and observe but may not participate in the regular monthly meeting unless issues are pre-approved and appear on the agenda.
To become a member of the HSO, to inquire about joining the orchestra as a volunteer musician or to be considered for election to the board of directors, one may call the Heartland Symphony Orchestra office at 1 (800) 826-1997.
Concert ticket information for HSO’s 2013-2014 season of presenting live orchestral performances for Central Minnesota will be available starting in August on HSO’s website at www.heartlandsymphony.org or by calling the above number for a free season brochure.
