State Track and Field: Little Falls’ Petrone, LeBlanc earn 11th in pole vault

The Holdingford girls 4×200-meter relay team earned ninth place to lead area athletes in the state track and field meet at Hamline University in St. Paul, Friday – Saturday.

The Huskers quartet of sophomore Amanda Grebinoski, eighth-grader Arianna Vasilj and freshmen Rachael Preusser and McKenzie Schulte completed the race in 1:47.33 in the Class A competition.

Little Falls had a pair of 11th-place pole vaulters in the Class AA field, with senior Jordan Petrone clearing 13-feet in the boys competition and junior Rachelle LeBlanc clearing 10-feet, 6-inches in the girls competition.

Little Falls senior Travis Spillum finished 20th overall in the boys high jump with a height of 5-feet, 10-inches.

The next best finisher for Holdingford was sophomore Grant Bullert, who took 10th place in the boys triple jump with a distance of 41-feet, 6.75-inches, with the Huskers boys 4×800 relay team of junior Brody Davidson, freshman Marcus Rick, senior Ryan Hartung and sophomore Abraham Skwira taking 12th in 8:26.03.

The Holdingford girls 4×400 relay team of freshman Summer Storm, Rachael Preusser, Vasilj and senior Kaitlin Preusser took 16th in 4:30.58.
