obit---Venske,-MMarvin “Huntz” F. Venske a resident of Randall, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013, at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 14, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cushing, with Bob Mueller officiating. Burial took place at the Randall City Cemetery in Randall.

Marvin “Huntz” F. Venske was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Morrison County, to the late Gustav and Elizabeth (Karels) Venske. He was united in marriage to Patricia Plohasz, Feb. 6, 1954. The couple was married for 59 years, and on the family farm they raised two children. Marvin loved being a dairy farmer. In 1956, he received the Outstanding Young Farmers Award. Later he retired and his son, Dennis took over the family farm. Marvin loved spending time at his daughter and son-in-law’s shop, Bell Fabrication and visiting with anyone who would stop by. He loved to deer hunt. Marvin hunted every year, even last year. He loved old western TV shows and Mollie B, Wednesday night (polka show).

Marvin is survived by his wife, Patricia Venske of Randall; son, Dennis (Sharon) Venske of Randall; daughter, Pam (Gary) Bellamy of Randall; brother, Melfred Venske; sisters, Donna (Lee) Hain and Betty (John) Peterson; sister-in-law, Rita (Curtis) Venske; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Elizabeth Venske; brothers, Virgil, Myron (Marvin’s twin brother), Curtis and Vernon; sisters, Elvira Petrich, Doris Anderson, Ila Woodworth and Viola Sanders.

Casketbearers were Jim Anderson, Gorden Petrich, William Venske, Roland (Shag) Mammenga, Dan Venske and Brent Petrich.
