18U Softball: Little Falls splits with Eden Valley-Watkins

The Little Falls 18U softball team split a doubleheader with Eden Valley-Watkins (EVW), Tuesday, bouncing back from a 15-6 defeat in the opener to win the second game 5-2.

Little Falls overcame a 2-1 deficit after three innings in the finale to score four runs in the fourth en route to the win.

Sierra Virnig went 3-for-3 with a double and a run to pace Little Falls, while Abby Thoma and Tristen Zimmerman each added two hits.

Samantha Jendro scattered seven hits to earn the win pitching.

Little Falls slugged 18 hits in the opening contest, led by Elizabeth Theis with three.

Taylor Czech, Emily Suska, Virnig, Katie Stewart, Thoma, Zimmerman and Jendro all added two hits, with Theis and Stewart doubling twice.
