LF resident captures super moon over the weekend

Dennis Bjorn of Little Falls captured the bright orange super moon Saturday night, June 22, and a brighter super moon Sunday night, June 23. He said a super moon when a full moon happens while the moon is at perigee, closest to the earth. “I was surprised on the 22nd when the moon was a dark red. I followed up last night and took another photo. The difference is striking,” he said. “A red moon means there is a high concentration of particles in the air, such as dust and smoke.”
