Dominic P. Marsolek, 88

obit-Marsolek-DDominic P. Marsolek, a resident of Rice, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 29, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in North Prairie with Father Laurn Virnig officiating. Burial was at Holy Cross Parish Cemetery in North Prairie.

Dominic was born Aug. 4, 1924, at home near Bowlus, to the late Frank and Frances (Puhalla) Marsolek. Dominic lived his entire life in the Bowlus-Rice area. He married is wife, Marcella (Fussy) Sept. 10, 1946, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus. Dominic and Marcella farmed for 25 years near Bowlus. He also worked construction for Barbarossa and later Landwehr Construction, until he retired in 1998. Dominic’s hobbies were hunting and fishing.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Marcella; son, Patrick (fiancée Linda) of Avon; grandsons, Cody (Darcy) of Albany, and Clint (Taylor) of St. Joseph; great-grandson, Cole; and sister, Vicki Sobania of Opole.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leo, John, Florian and Louis; and sisters, Magdalene, Florence, Matilda and Julia.

Pallbearers were Raymond Sobania, Thomas Fussy, Greg Fussy, Jim Solorz, Ronnie Janski and Cleutus Novitiski.
