Dahm sentenced to 21 months in prison for Hillman burglary

Christian Thomas Dahm, 35, Brainerd, pleaded guilty to burglary in the third degree Monday (June 24) in Morrison County District Court in Little Falls. Judge Douglas P. Anderson sentenced Dahm to 21 months in prison. The case stems from a June 2012 burglary at the Lakeview Community Church in Hillman.

Assistant County Attorney Todd Kosovich said that this was the first Morrison County case he could recall that was solved by DNA evidence.

“Morrison County Deputy Schmidt noted a smear of blood on a door at the church and collected a sample. An analysis of the blood by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension matched a profile of Dahm’s DNA in a state database,” he said.
