Legion Baseball: Strack sparks Little Falls rout

Brett Strack went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored as the Little Falls Legion baseball team ripped apart host St. Augusta 15-1, Monday.

Wenzel also collected four hits, with Collin Eckman, Kyle Boser and Michael Fregin adding two apiece.

Boser pitched five shutout innings to earn the win.

 

Waite Park 3, Little Falls 2

Little Falls was unable to capitalize on its chance to take the lead in the top of the seventh, then paid for it in the bottom of the inning, falling 3-2 to Waite Park at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud, Tuesday.

With the game tied at 2-2 after six, Little Falls put runners at first and third with one out in the top of the seventh, but was unable to score.

Waite Park came back to tally the winning run in the bottom of the seventh after a leadoff walk and throwing error.

Wenzel went 3-for-4 with a double and a run, Eckman went 2-for-3 with a double and a run and Boser drove in one.

Gabe Ploof allowed only two first-inning runs over five frames.
