Firefighters hose the competition; take first in Randall bed races

Randall-firefighters---bed-races

Members of the Randall Volunteer Fire Department — the Randall Hoserz — took first place in the bed race competition held in Randall July 4. Six teams took part in the competition down Randall’s Main Street. Before starting, the assigned team member had to put on a pair of flannel pajamas, before jumping onto the bed. The other team members pushed the bed to the halfway mark, then all team members had to run a complete circle around the bed before completing the first half of the race. Once at the end of Main Street, the member in pajamas had to take them off and another member had to put them on and jump on the bed so fellow teammates could once again race to the halfway mark and run a complete circle around the bed before heading for the finish line. Bermel’s Bodacious Babes (Bermel’s Store) took second, and Randall Presbyterian Church’s Holy Rollers took third.  Other teams included RBS Dreamcycle (Randall Building Supplies), Old Geezer and Young Pups (Randall Liquor and Randall VFW) and Gosch’s Bed and Breakfast.
