Upsala firefighters honor fallen brothers at Bowlus Fun Day


The Upsala firefighters used their float in the Bowlus Fun Day parade July 7, to honor their fallen brothers, the Granite Mountain Hotshots of Prescott, Az. and the West Texas Volunteer Fire Department. Nineteen members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, part of the Prescott Fire Department, lost their lives Sunday, June 30, while battling the 2,000-acre Yarnell Hill fire that ignited Friday south of Prescott, Az. Eight West Texas volunteer firefighters died April 17, during the massive fertilizer plant explosion in West Texas in McLennan County.
