Ann Garrison, 83

obit-Garrison-AAnn S. Garrison, a resident of Little Falls, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 12, at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery in Little Falls.

Ann Sophie Balaski was born March 29, 1930, in Little Falls, to the late Peter F. and Rose (Bartkowich) Balaski. She attended the local schools. Ann was united in marriage to Lloyd “Hooey” Garrison, Dec. 13, 1960, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls. Together they made their home in Little Falls and Ann stayed home and raised her family. She enjoyed going out to the casino. Ann enjoyed the outdoors, feeding the birds and deer, as well as raising flowers. Ann was a longtime member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Little Falls VFW. Post #1112 Ladies Auxilary.

Ann is survived by her sons, Charlie Garrison of Oakdale, and Patrick Garrison of Rochester; daughter, Judy Stroschein of Little Falls; grandchildren, Todd Doble, Kayla, William, Tyler, Abby, and Jack Garrison; great-grandchildren, Natasha, Halee, Tia and Noah Doble; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter F. and Rose (Bartkowich) Balaski; husband, Lloyd “Hooey” Garrison; brothers, Edward, Peter Jr., Thomas, Joseph and Johnny Balaski; sisters, Frances Wozniak, Josephine Seelen, Florence Noble, Sophie Treb  and Mary Zylka.
