Del-Roy H. Dahler, of Rice, died Friday, July 26, 2013, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, July 29, at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Brennyville, with the Rev. Daniel Walz officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Del-Roy Dahler was born July 7, 1926, in Granite Ledge Township, Benton County, to Ambrose and Catherine (Kantor) Dahler. He married Margaret Jurek Sept. 13, 1949, at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church. The couple lived and farmed many years in rural Foley. Del-Roy worked as a bartender for many years and managed the Gilman Liquor Store. He also worked as an electrician, drove truck for several years and worked as a meat cutter. Del-Roy enjoyed hunting and fishing and liked a good game of cards. He was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons and daughters; Duiane (JoAnne), Morrison, Illinois; Dennis (Roxanne), Zimmerman; Diane (Rod) Lien, Milaca; Marlene (John) Burnett, Sartell; Janice (Jerry) Juetten, Foley; Darrel, Foley; Delroy (Carolyn), Foley; Cindy (Paul) Gorecki, Foley; Dale (Marjorie), Milaca; Donna (Mike) Frank, Sartell; Dean (Jodi), Hugo; and Tammy (Robin) Burton, Sauk Rapids; 41 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren and sister, Lorraine Byzewski, Foley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Margaret, July 16, 2010; sister, Mildred Talberg; brothers-in-law, Henry Byzewski and Robert Talberg.
