Ruth Hlad, Randall, was named the August Employee of the Month by the Little Falls Chamber of Commerce. She is employed by Elder Care of Minnesota, with offices at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls.
“Ruth is an integral part of our organization and team player,” said Hlad’s supervisor Tim Matros. “She is a long-term employee who provides great customer service. She always has a positive attitude and greets everyone daily with a smile and a ‘Good morning.’ She goes the extra mile and will stay late in order to meet deadlines as they arise. Ruth is very deserving of this award and we are pleased she has been chosen the August Chamber of Commerce Employee of the Month.”
Hlad, an administrative assistant with Elder Care of Minnesota, has been with the company for eight years. Her duties include preparing payroll and administering accounts payable plus the accounting duties for the Heritage House properties in Sebeka, Pequot Lakes, Black Duck and Kimball.
“I truly enjoy working at Elder Care. My hours are flexible and the employees here are wonderful to work with,” she said. “It is an honor to have been chosen the August Chamber of Commerce Employee of the Month.”
Hlad is married to Larry, a retired farmer. They love to go camping and fishing on Big Rice Lake in Cass County. Hlad has a large vegetable garden and she loves to can her produce. She and Larry also enjoy playing Smear and 500.
The Hlads have one son, David, and a daughter-in-law, Amanda, who live nearby. They also dote on two granddaughters, Ayla and Nora.
For receiving the honor of becoming the Employee of the Month, Hlad received gift certificates from Broadway Stylists, Cabin Fever and Northern Image Landscaping. She also received a cookbook from St. Gabriel’s Hospitals Hospice Program and had her photo taken at Silker Studio.
