obit-Lee-JuneJune B. Lee, a resident of Little Falls, formerly of Long Prairie, died Aug. 4, 2013, at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, Aug. 7 at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, with Chaplain Gregg Valentine officiating. The burial was at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, north of Little Falls.

June B. Larson was born June 26, 1926, in Denham, to the late Olga E. Benning and Anton L. Larson. She was united in marriage to Earl Lee June 23, 1950. The couple was married for 54 years. June worked for Honeywell in Minneapolis for 15 years. The couple then moved to Burtrum, where they owned and operated Lee’s Resort on Long Lake for several years. June resided in Long Prairie, for a few years. The couple moved to Little Falls in 1991. Earl died Oct. 29, 2004. June enjoyed collecting newspaper clippings, jokes, stories and Dear Abby articles and watching Wheel of Fortune. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church and Long Prairie VFW Auxiliary.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Gerry Klemish of Little Falls; grandchildren, Jenni Klemish, Steven Klemish and Dan Klemish.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Lee; sisters, Elsa Hetherington, Mabel Bushey, Eillen Hetherington and two brothers-in-law.
