Kenneth Charles Kroll, 50, Little Falls, was charged Aug. 19, in the Morrison County District Court, with one felony count of fifth degree possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of not carrying proof of insurance.
A Morrison County deputy observed a vehicle in Belle Prairie Township traveling at a high rate of speed Aug. 18. He activated his radar unit and clocked the vehicle going in excess of the speed limit.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Kroll who was unable to provide proof of insurance. During the conversation, the officer allegedly detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. He directed Kroll to turn over all drugs in the vehicle and Kroll gave him two glass pipes.
The officer then conducted a pat down search and allegedly discovered a pipe in Kroll’s front pocket containing white residue. Kroll allegedly said he used the pipe to smoke methamphetamine.
If convicted, Kroll faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
