After a scoreless first half, visiting Bemidji broke through with three goals in the second half for a 3-0 season-opening shutout over Little Falls, Friday.

The game was tight throughout, with Bemidji finally breaking a scoreless tie midway through the second half.

Little Falls remained within a goal late into the match before the Lumberjacks put it away with two goals in the final 11 minutes.

Freshman goalkeeper Lauren Thielman made seven saves for the Flyers.
