Area Soccer: Little Falls boys, girls shut out Walker; Sam Beam scores five goals

Little Falls had to wait until the second overtime to earn a win in its season opener.

The Flyers’ second victory came much easier.

Led by a five-goal performance from eighth-grader Sam Beam, Little Falls routed host Walker-Hackensack-Akeley/Cass Lake-Bena 12-0, Tuesday.

Senior Tim Infinger added a hat trick and senior Jake Loukinen scored twice and tallied three assists.

Juniors Thomas Bell and Aaron Orth also scored for the Flyers, with senior Connor Jorgenson registering three assists.

 

Little Falls girls shut out Walker 3-0

Freshman Mikel Vacek scored twice and freshman Kia Friel added another goal as Little Falls shut out host Walker-Hackensack-Akeley/Cass Lake-Bena 3-0 in a non-conference match, Tuesday.

The win lifted the Flyers’ record to 2-1 on the season.
