William T. Chapman
William T. Chapman, a resident of Freeport, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at his home.
He was born March 8, 1922, in Little Falls, he was the son of William C. and Louise (Thompson) Chapman. He married Thelma W. Womble, Sept. 10, 1947, and she died Dec. 27, 1992. William received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. He worked for the United States Army in Tennessee for six years. He then worked for Micro Switch and Honeywell until his retirement.
Surviving are his son, W. Kenneth Chapman of Freeport; and one daughter, Kathryn (Greg Billig) Chapman of Swanville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three sisters; and one brother.
Graveside funeral service was held Friday, Sept.13, at Riverside Cemetery in Royalton.
A memorial has been established for Faith United Methodist Church.
