Prairie Conference volleyball from Tuesday:

Royalton 3, LPGE 0

Senior Emily Fussy hit nine kills as Royalton took apart host Long Prairie-Grey Eagle (LPGE) in straight sets 25-20, 25-15, 25-15, Tuesday.

Junior Hayley Gottwalt followed with six kills, junior Abby Duevel had four and senior Katelyn Kasella picked up three.

Junior Haley Olson finished with 23 set assists and four aces, with freshman Brandi Kloss chipping in two kills and a solo block.


Upsala 3, Eagle Valley 0

After going 1-3 in the Litchfield tournament, Sept. 7, Upsala bounced back with a quick 25-21, 25-15, 25-5 sweep at Eagle Valley in its next Prairie Conference match, Tuesday.

Sophomore Kiley Smieja and Cheney each had five kills for the Cardinals, with freshman Katlin Welinski and Westrich each adding four.

Junior Kristin Wuebkers compiled 24 set assists and four service aces.

Upsala dropped its first three matches at the Litchfield tournament against Annandale (25-5, 26-24), Sartell-St. Stephen (25-16, 25-8) and Dassel-Cokato (25-10, 25-14) before defeating Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (21-25, 25-21, 19-17).

Cheney posted a team-high 16 kills during the tournament, joined in double figures by Welinski (12), Westrich (11) and Smieja (10).


Browerville 3, Swanville 0

Swanville fell in straight sets at Browerville, Tuesday. No individual stats available.
