Donna J. Wiggins


Donna J. Wiggins, a resident of Little Falls, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at her home.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls with Chaplain Gregg Valentine officiating. A private interment was in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.
Donna Jean (Ernst) Wiggins was born May 14, 1929, in Motley, the daughter of Leo and Doris (Brinegar) Ernst. She was a graduate of West High in South Minneapolis. She was married to Glenn Wiggins and the couple was blessed with more than 50 years together. They lived in Brooklyn Center, before moving to Baxter in 2003. In 2012, she moved to the Alverna Apartments in Little Falls where she resided at the time of her death. Donna worked as a secretary at Honeywell in Minneapolis where she met Glenn and they were married a short time later. At that time she became a homemaker and raised her family. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards (especially poker) and loved to cook, bake and entertain. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and attended Hope Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy (Michael) Belknap of Little Falls; son-in-law, Don (Joy) VanVorst of Pine River; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn (Aug. 8, 2008); daughter, Wendy VanVorst (July 25, 2005); brother, Gordon Ernst and sister, Wanda Keller.
