Florence Martha Fautsch, a resident of Opole, passed away peacefully, Sept. 26, 2013, at her home at Country Villa in Sartell, surrounded by her family.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, Sept. 28, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Opole, with Father John Paul Knopik officiating. Burial took place in the parish cemetery. Florence was born June 29, 1925, to Dominic and Pauline (Kruzel) Blazinski in Elmdale Township. She married Hubert Ralph Fautsch, June 5th, 1956, at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Elmdale. The couple had four children that they raised together on the farm in Opole area. Besides being a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker, Florence had a love of the outdoors which could be seen through her beautiful flower gardens. For fun, she enjoyed the challenge of jigsaw puzzles, craft projects and the occasional trip to the casino. Most of all, Florence loved any time she got to spend with her family. She was a devout member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Opole where she was also a member of the Christian Mothers.
Florence is survived by her children, Annette (Larry) Dukowitz of St. Cloud, Kathy (Wayne) Kostreba of St. Stephen, David (Marie) Fautsch of Holdingford; and her 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Pauline Blazinski; her husband Hubert Fautsch, who passed in 2009; her son, Duane Fautsch who passed in 2012; and her brothers, Edward and Henry Blazinski.
