Sporting clays shoot will benefit Morrison County Chaplaincy

Morrison Men, a non-denominational men’s ministry, will host a sporting clays shoot Sunday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at Rice Creek Hunting and Recreation. Costs will be $25 per shooter and proceeds from the event will be used to support the Morrison County Chaplaincy program.

Participants can either organize their team of four shooters, or will be placed in a group of four as a low-key fun competition will be the order of the day. Following the round of clays, other fun shooting games will commence. Guest speaker will be Chaplain Gregg Valentine who will spend a few minutes talking about the Chaplaincy program. Participants need not preregister, but if they do not, they are asked to show up a little before 2 p.m. with a shotgun and two boxes of shells. This is an opportunity for veteran shooters to get a little practice in and novice shooters to experience sporting clays and receive some helpful tips to improve their shooting.

Organizers remind Vik-ings fans that the Vikings have a bye that week, so the shoot does not interfere with football.
