Royalton boys seventh at St. John’s Prep

Junior Tremayne Collins finished as the individual runner-up in 17:42 to lead the Royalton boys to seventh place at St. John’s Prep, Thursday.

Sophomore Ben Borash took 10th place in 18:52, followed by freshmen Jordan Malikowski (20:06) and Thomas Strusz (20:19) and junior Eli Stevens (31:39).

On the girls side Royalton was incomplete, with freshman Emma Hoheisel (17:53) the top individual placer in 22nd.

Sophomore Madi Rudolph (18:08), senior Ciara Kowalczyk (18:47) and freshman Chloe Novak (20:02) rounded out the Royalton lineup.


Holdingford boys first, girls first at HLWW

The Holdingford boys and girls swept the top spots at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (HLWW), Thursday.

The Huskers girls placed all five of its scoring runners in the top 10, including junior Emily Wolter (17:40), freshmen Jo Merten (17:53) and Angel Rick (18:07) and sophomores Rachael Preusser (18:21) and Sunni Ebnet (18:22).

Junior Abe Skwira (17:37) was the individual champion and junior Andrew Zachman (17:57) finished third to lead the 11th-ranked Holdingford boys, with senior Nick Hiltner (19:11), junior Jacob Thell (19:35) and senior Ben Douvier (19:51) also scoring.


Pierz girls fourth at Foley

Junior Maggie Gruber (17:22) took seventh and junior Arre Langer (17:52) took 14th to lead the Pierz girls to fourth at Foley, Thursday, while junior Kyle Becker finished 14th in 18:40 to lead an incomplete Pierz boys team.
