Granite Ridge Cross Country: Sowada, Moe lead Little Falls at Fergus Falls Invite

The Little Falls boys earned second place and girls took sixth at the Fergus Falls Invite, Thursday.

The Flyers boys had four runners finish in the top 25, led by senior Sebastian Sowada in fourth overall in 17:09.8.

Seniors Mathew Massmann (17:54.0), Cameron Smith (17:59.2) and Daniel Mushel (18:38.2) were next across the line for Little Falls, followed by junior Joshua Kapsner (18:44.1) and sophomores Jacob Massmann (19:06.4) and Gunner Kleinschmidt (20:32.0).

In the girls race, junior Heidi Moe covered the course in 16:48.8 to take 13th overall to lead the Flyers, with eighth-grader Anna McNamara taking 20th in 17:13.3 and sophomore Amelia Kresha earning 24th in 17:21.8.

Senior Vanessa Meschke (18:39.9) and freshman Kendal Hendrickson (18:39.9) finished simultaneously to round out the scoring for Little Falls, trailed by sophomore Linzee Gerads (19:17.6) and freshman Ashley Hastings (19:38.9).
