Visiting St. Cloud Cathedral weathered a barrage of Little Falls scoring opportunities and pressure in the first half on its way to a 5-1 win that clinched the Granite Ridge Conference championship, Tuesday.

The Flyers appeared to score first, only for the goal to be wiped off on an indirect free kick, before Cathedral capitalized on a pair of odd-man rushes to go ahead 2-0 midway through the first half.

Senior Jake Loukinen cut that gap in half after knocking home a loose ball in front of the net, but the Crusaders restored its lead to two goals before the break, then tacked on two more scores in the second half.

Little Falls senior Tim Infinger (22) leaps high above the defense and senior Tucker Brastad (4) waits behind the St. Cloud Cathedral wall on a ball placed deep in the box in Tuesday’s home match. The Crusaders came away with a 5-1 win to clinch the conference title.
